Anyone walking through De Pinte today and coming across a home with an interior refined down to the smallest detail is likely encountering the work of Morel & Zoon. Since 1953, this family-run company has demonstrated what craftsmanship can achieve through steady, purposeful dedication to the art of painting.
Founder Firmin Morel took on both interior and exterior painting jobs — by bicycle, carrying a ladder over his shoulder. With a steady hand, he built a reputation that extended well beyond the village borders. In 1970, his son Martin Morel joined the business. With a diploma in decorative painting and an eye for new possibilities, he introduced new elements such as hand-painted advertising panels. A subtle shift, but one that brought the artistic side of the trade into clearer focus. 
The third generation, Hennie Morel, entered the business in 2000. After completing his education in painting and decorative techniques, he specialised in wood and marble imitations. Under his influence, the company evolved into a versatile studio offering, among other things, microcement finishes, ornamental mouldings, wood-blasting and comprehensive interior styling.

In 2017, Hennie and his wife Evelyn took over the company. Evelyn, who retrained from midwife to colour consultant and interior stylist, connects technical execution with a strong sense of style and spatial awareness. Together with a close-knit team, they approach each project as a unique assignment, tailored to the client’s vision and developed with sensitivity to materials, lighting, proportion and detail. 
Over the years, the company’s expertise has not only grown, but also become more refined. Here, innovation is never pursued for its own sake, but chosen deliberately, integrating contemporary techniques without losing the soul of the craft. As a result, their projects are not only technically precise, but also aesthetically considered. 
Morel & Zoon proves that tradition does not necessarily need to be static. While the company continues to evolve, it also maintains a sense of continuity. Here, quality is not defined by superficial luxury, but by the precision with which every corner, every hue and every detail is brought to life.
