- Art & Design
Since 1990, Mobitec has been developing bespoke furniture from Eupen, at the tri-border region of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. There are no warehouses filled with finished chairs or tables. Every piece is made to order – a deliberate choice that brings creativity and sustainability together.
Mobitec specialises in seating and tables that are functional, comfortable and aesthetically consistent. The core of their approach? Modularity. Clients can choose the materials, upholstery, types of wood, finishes and even technical details such as leg shapes or table extensions. This collaborative process extends well beyond the end user. Architects, interior designers and project developers are actively involved from the outset. By carefully considering both practical needs and aesthetic preferences from the beginning, each product is tailored precisely to its intended context.
Production takes place in Poland, where Mobitec has established a network of skilled craftspeople with the expertise required to realise their designs with precision and care. Sustainability is no longer a separate pillar but an integral part of Mobitec’s operations. Raw materials are carefully selected with consideration for origin and environmental impact. The wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests, finishes are as eco-friendly as possible, and waste streams are reused wherever feasible. The furniture is built to last, not conceived as disposable goods with an expiration date.

Mobitec regards its pieces as long-term companions. New collections are launched every year, with designs that respond to evolving needs without losing sight of traditional craftsmanship. Each piece strikes a balance between technical innovation and respect for classic design principles.
It’s precisely this approach that has brought Mobitec recognition far beyond Belgian borders. Today, their bespoke furniture can be found in more than ten European countries. Still, the company remains rooted in Eupen. That strong regional foundation ensures cultural proximity to the customer, even in an international setting. Mobitec creates furniture that fits seamlessly into people’s daily lives by creating the atmosphere that they naturally belong within a space.
