The domain of Alden Biesen in Limburg is a fantastic place to relax. The historical protected buildings have been beautifully renovated and since recently, you can also spend the night here thanks to the construction of a luxurious four-star hotel with 69 rooms and three authentic suites. The thirteenth-century steward house has also been tastefully renovated and is part of the luxurious hotel.
The design for the hotel was created by PCP Architects and Delta VanderAvort Architecten. The concept had to be an interaction between an architectural masterpiece and an L-shaped new building. The new section was designed to reinforce the historical style of the other buildings. The new building also has only two floors so as not to overshadow the steward house.
This historic domain has been transformed into a luxurious hotel concept where you can relax completely
The primary spaces such as the lobby, the restaurant with central bar and the terrace are located in a magnificent glass pavilion that is oriented towards the English garden. Left of the pavilion, you will find the two wings with rooms that are perpendicular to each other. The kitchen and the service rooms that are considered to be the secondary rooms are located in the basement. The swimming pool with wellness connects very well to the in-ground outdoor terrace.
The old barn has been transformed into a banquet hall with a whisky bar next to it. The bar gets a dark, closed character through the small windows of the steward house and leads to cosy lounges that can be used as small meeting rooms during the day. The large meeting room is located on the first floor together with the three luxurious suites.
The architects and Building Group Jansen, who were responsible for the finishing touches, made every effort to turn this domain into an oasis of peace.
