In an age where interior trends come and go at speed, SB Decorations deliberately chooses depth and durability. Since 2008, founder Senne Bayens has built a reputation for refined craftsmanship and a sharp eye for subtle distinction. Once known for their classical painting work, they are now recognised for decorative techniques with a strong preference for natural materials such as lime, clay, and microcement.
The designer’s passion for material and texture stems partly from family tradition, partly from international experiences. This blend of heritage and global perspective results in a style that is both understated and expressive. At SB Decorations, there are no off-the-shelf solutions, only finishes that enhance the space rather than overpower it. SB Decorations’ portfolio spans modern to classical homes, always executed with the same precision and understanding of materials. Techniques such as limewash, whitewashing, or microtopping testify to a refined balance of aesthetic and technical skill. Limewash is breathable and mould-resistant; whereas microtopping offers seamless and wear-resistant surfaces. Their application requires time and expertise, and it is precisely in this that their added value lies. Every layer, every texture is the result of focused, manual work.
