In the world of interior textiles, one rarely speaks of craftsmanship without mentioning the name of Patrick Ponseele. With a background in fashion and ready-to-wear, his career could initially have followed a different path. But a period of international work experience led to a new discovery: a deep-rooted passion for window decoration.
Founder Patrick Ponseele joined Belgian companies in the interior design sector, before growing into an independent practice where textiles, technology and aesthetics reinforce each other. Today, he is recognised as an expert who transforms homes with carefully chosen curtains, fabrics and window solutions. Each realisation starts from the wishes and living environment of the client, whether architects, designers or private clients. What follows is an intensive but refined process, in which the subtle interplay of colours, textures and incidence of light takes shape in fabrics that not only dress up but also give character to a room.
His approach is resolutely tailor-made. No standard packages, but combinations that enhance the uniqueness of a home. Technical solutions and aesthetic considerations are addressed in the same breath to achieve a seamless whole. His role as coordinator and “textile architect”, as he is sometimes called, transcends the merely decorative.
Wie bij Patrick Ponseele aanklopt, kiest niet alleen voor een gespecialiseerde raamdecoratie, maar voor iemand die textiel begrijpt als geen ander
What stands out is his innate sense of material. With him, the choice of a fabric is no accident. He sees what others often overlook: how a particular weave refracts a ray of light, how a hue behaves throughout the day, how a design interacts with the lines of architecture. This intuition is the foundation of his work. His own collection includes exclusive fabrics, complemented by high-end textile brands such as Hermès and Missoni. Yet it is not about the name on the label, but about the right choice for each context. Luxury is discreetly present here in quality and finish every time.
His working method is personal, precise and unhurried. For him, a successful project is a matter of peace of mind. Only when a client feels at home with the end result, he truly succeeded. The spaces he helps create invite to live. Whoever knocks on Patrick Ponseele's door does not just choose specialised window decoration, but someone who understands textiles like no other. With refinement as his standard and empathy as his guide, he continues to build a practice where Belgian craft becomes tangible in every detail.
