A flat that radiates warmth and light not only because it was built in balmy Valencia, but especially because a designer has an eye for cosiness, that's what makes us happy. With that unique touch, Destudio Arquitectura allowed their project Casa Cavanilles to shine full force. A design that reaches for the sky, overlooking 360° the Viveros gardens and the beautiful Valencian sea, we only have one thing to say about it: ¡Qué hermoso!
The creatives at Destudio Arquitectura form a multidisciplinary team of professionals specialising in architecture, design, construction and interior design. Their comprehensive approach, choosing to manage each project from A to Z, allows them to meticulously take care of every step of the process. In doing so, they call on their own construction team for the functional construction and their interior architects and designers take care of the detailed decoration of the interiors. Under their motto 'anything is possible', they like to create custom-made furniture that makes the concept envisaged by the customer completely true. Clearly, Destudio's creations are a beautiful fusion of functionality and aesthetics. Yet the architects are equally concerned with sustainability: according to them, their projects must always adapt to the environment, and not the other way around. That is why they use innovative technologies to bring green designs to life.
The spaces happily receive the rich light of the Spanish sun
Thus, the link between Casa Cavanilles and nature is not far off. Besides the fact that the design effortlessly draws in the beautiful views of the local nature, the rooms also happily receive the rich light of the Spanish sun. This creates a halo of harmony in the main space, which connects the living and dining rooms. This is only right, as that space is the beating heart of the family home. The designers managed to find the perfect balance between modern and classic there by incorporating a sleek but soft wood panelling as an eye-catcher in the design. In addition, the remaining mild tones in the space create order and tranquillity. Another wonderfully inventive element the designers incorporated into the dining room is undoubtedly the study area. They made it stand out by covering the large dining room window with light wood, suddenly creating an area with a different function within the dining room. They also widened the living space by adding a cosy covered dining room on the terrace; a place that makes you become one with the Spanish vida.
Besides the living space, the immense kitchen also enlivens the entire flat. Through a sliding glass door in the dining room, you enter the space that brings a family together as delicious Mediterranean scents spread from this point. The combination of cream colour, natural stone and wooden accents brings balance to this clean, light-filled space. In the other rooms, such as the bathroom, this combination of materials and textures also does something pleasant to the resident: a nice feeling of relaxation takes over his daily rhythm.
