In each of Mieke Van Herck's masterpieces, the art of living is brought to life, where architecture, interior and garden design blend harmoniously to create an unforgettable residential universe. With her own unique stamp, she stands out with her sleek architecture combined with warm, state-of-the-art interiors.
A striking example of her masterful approach can be seen in the design of the star restaurant Innesto in Zonhoven. Here, a sleek, rural new building is combined with a cosy Limburg atmosphere, which flows seamlessly into the outdoor terrace. The restaurant, designed with an eye for the high expectations of a starred establishment, nevertheless retains its warm character, with an intimate dining area that merges harmoniously with the open kitchen and the enchanting garden. This synergy of inside and outside, as well as the mix of rural and modern accents, not only characterises this project, but is the common thread in all Mieke Van Herck's creations. 
Innesto's interior demonstrates a balanced combination of aesthetics and efficiency, where sustainable materials, acoustics and a thoughtful layout are essential. Upholstered seating, integrated acoustic wall panels and a central upholstered seating island not only serve aesthetic purposes but also contribute to a pleasant dining experience. Bronze elements, subtly scattered throughout the space, bring sophisticated lighting and seamlessly integrate the interior.

Innesto's first floor reveals additional surprises, with a dedicated drinks lounge and a private dining area in the wine cellar. The building's compact structure houses offices, toilets and stockrooms in the basement, making efficient use of space for the successful running of the restaurant. A special note to this project is the creation of a custom-designed coffee and dessert trolley, which serves as the apotheosis of each meal, a perfect example of Mieke Van Herck's versatility and creative approach. 
‘Commissioned by restaurant Innesto, we designed the coffee cart, which is pushed down the hall after every dinner,’ we hear. This simple phrase not only reflects a tangible result of the project but symbolises Mieke Van Herck's commitment to go beyond traditional boundaries, to open new perspectives and elevate every aspect of life to an art form. Her creations are more than architecture; they are life experiences, infused with passion, dedication and an unmistakable stamp of timeless elegance.
