With the opening of restaurant Maison Colette at a new location in Westerlo, Michelin chef Thijs Vervloet is not only highlighting his culinary mastery, but also showcasing Verilin's Belgian craftsmanship in a beautiful way. Together with Grain Designoffice, the renowned interior design firm that was responsible for the interior design, Verilin took the linen interior decoration to the next level.
Verilin, a family company that has excelled in the production of high-quality linen for three generations, took on the entire linen interior decoration of Maison Colette.Their work went far beyond table linen. From custom-made bed and bath linens to unique curtains and even elegant café curtains - each piece was crafted with care and precision in Verilin's workshops. This attention to detail is characteristic of the company, which is known for its combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. For Maison Colette, Verilin even developed unique bed skirts that, with a nod to Parisian style, perfectly match the grandeur of the renovated location.
The bed linen reflects the sophistication also found in the restaurant
The collaboration with Grain Designoffice was essential to bring Chef Vervloet's vision to life. While the interior designers combined classic elements with contemporary designs and mid-century touches, Verilin provided the finishing touches in textiles. The refined curtains and linen details perfectly complement the rich materials and thoughtful colour palette Grain envisioned. ‘We are proud to have been able to contribute with our work to the atmosphere and elegance that Maison Colette exudes,’ said the Verilin team.
At the boutique hotel, part of Maison Colette, Verilin put his expertise to work to create a soothing and luxurious experience. The bed linen, crafted from the finest materials, reflects the refinement that can also be found in the restaurant. The five guest rooms exude vintage chic, and Verilin's custom-made textiles play a key role in this. Every detail, from the soft bath towels to the subtle curtains, contributes to an atmosphere of serene luxury.
With their contribution to Maison Colette, Verilin proves once again why the company is a pioneer in Belgian textiles. The collaboration with Grain Designoffice shows how craftsmanship and creativity can go hand in hand to create an unforgettable experience. For chef Thijs Vervloet, this project is a return to his roots; for Verilin, it is proof of their lasting impact on both the Belgian and international design world. At Maison Colette, culinary perfection and timeless Belgian design come together - and Verilin proudly takes centre stage.
